All our dentists adhere to the rules governing the profession under strict guidance from the General Dental Council (GDC) “Standards for Dental Professionals”.
Our team of highly skilled and innovative dentists has acquired many years of experience to deal with simple as well as complex dental needs. All our dentists undertake regular post-graduate training to ensure that we undertake best practice.
Punit is one of the principal dentists and founders of the practice. He graduated from the University of Manchester in 2000 with BSc [Hons] and BDS [Hons]. He gained his MFDS RCS [Edin] in 2003. After completion of vocational training, he worked in Restorative Dentistry posts at Leeds Dental Hospital and Guys, King’s and St Thomas’ Dental Institute. Punit has completed his 4-year Specialist Training at the renowned Guys, King’s and St Thomas’ Dental Institute and is now an accredited Specialist in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics (This is the field of dentistry relating to rebuilding natural teeth and restoring missing teeth with prosthetic replacements.) His specialist interest is in the area of toothwear and implant dentistry. He received the honor of the highly commended dentist of the year at the dental awards 2010. He also lectures both nationally and Internationally on Prosthodontic and Implant related topics and mentors his fellow colleagues on advanced dental procedures.
Priya is the other principal dentist at the practice. She graduated in 2002 from the Guys, King’s and St Thomas’ Dental Institute. Priya completed her vocational training in Ipswich and then joined the team at St Georges Hospital, Tooting as a Senior House officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Priya is dedicated to providing the best of both cosmetic and preventive dentistry. Her caring and gentle ways will put the most phobic dental patients at ease. She now divides her time between working part-time at the practice and looking after her two little boys, Dillan and Niyam.
Howard is our Orthodontist. He graduated from Leeds in 1985 and then completed specialist Orthodontic training in 1993. Howard was awarded the British Orthodontic Society Young Specialist Award in 1997 for clinical expertise. At present, Howard is also a Consultant Orthodontist at the Watford General Hospital and Eastman Dental Institute. With extensive experience in hospital and specialist practice, he is able to offer a comprehensive assessment and treatment service for both children and adults.
Fahriye Busra Ibrahim qualified from Guy’s King’s and St Thomas’ Dental Schools in 2005.
She has been working in Alexandra Park Dental Practice as an associate dentist since 2011.
She also works part-time as a Speciality Dentist at the King’s College Hospital in the Acute Dental Care Department, involved in the management of patients and teaching dental students and Dental Core trainees.
She has completed Postgraduate Certificate training in both Restorative Dentistry and Endodontics at the Eastman Dental Institute in 2009 and 2013 respectively.
She is currently studying for a Diploma in Conscious sedation at King’s College.
Her hobbies include cooking and travelling.
Ruby Glaskie qualified from the University of Bristol Dental School in 2018.
She has gained experience in the department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in both Homerton and Luton & Dunstable Hospitals. She has also obtained membership to the Royal College of surgeons via the MFDS RCS (Ed) qualification.
Ruby firmly believes in minimally invasive and ethical dentistry. She has a calm, friendly chair side manner and places a great deal of importance in establishing a trusted dentist-patient relationship.
Outside of work, Ruby enjoys fitness, sport and traveling.
Nikita graduated from the University of Birmingham with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. She has a calm, friendly and approachable manner and enjoys building relationships with her patients. Nikita believes in delivering the best possible care with carefully designed treatment plans that suit her patients needs best. She particularly enjoys working with anxious patients and putting them at ease. Outside of dentistry, Nikita enjoys dancing and baking.
Max qualified at the University of Birmingham, winning the Walpole Day prize in Orthodontics. He completed his vocational training year in Hertfordshire. He is very passionate about dentistry and his main aim is to always listen to patients concerns and build up a relationship with patients based on trust. Max believes every patient should have complete confidence in smiling and he puts in his upmost effort to achieve this.
Max likes all areas of general dentistry, especially treating nervous patients and enjoys being part of the wider dental team.
Outside of dentistry Max enjoys running, cooking and open water swimming
Having graduated with a BDS from King’s College London, Nickil has since worked as a general dentist in Cardiff and London, providing both NHS and private care.
He particularly enjoys treating patients for their cosmetic needs, including Invisalign, teeth whitening, composite bonding, veneers, crowns and tooth-coloured fillings. He also loves the challenge of a difficult extraction, of which he has done many, having worked in the Urgent Dental Care centre since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Nickil has completed post-graduate qualifications for Invisalign, MJDF MFDS RCS [Edin] and is currently carrying out a post-graduate course for Advanced Aesthetic & Restorative Dentistry [PGCert].
Whilst Nickil is very social and extroverted, he enjoys learning about human behaviour and psychology . This compliments his style as a dentist allowing him to holistically cater to his patients’ needs, in particularly, those that wouldn’t consider themselves a ‘typical’ patient.
Dr Emily Burden is one of the newest associates to our practice since moving from Liverpool last year and has thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the patients and colleagues at the practice.
Dr Burden completed an honours degree in Human Anatomy and then a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Liverpool. Following graduation she completed her Foundation training in the North West of England. Dr Burden has worked as a General Dental Practitioner in Liverpool prior to moving to London. She provides the full range of general dental services for both adults and children.
She has a kind and caring approach to treatment and always puts her patients first. Her patients have stated how at ease they feel during treatments , particularly anxious patients. Dr Burden is continually seeking to improve her knowledge and skills to ensure patients receive the highest standard of treatment.
In her spare time Dr Burden enjoys travelling and spending time with friends and family.
Meera is an enthusiastic, friendly dentist with a relaxed chair-side manner helping put patients at ease. She believes in patient centred dentistry, taking time to build positive relationships with her patients. Meera also has a particular interest in working with nervous patients.
Meera qualified from the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa in 1997 and started practising as a general dentist in North London since 1998.
She is experienced in many types of dentistry and her special interests include :
– good quality restorative dentistry
– crowns, bridges and veneers
– looking after nervous patients
– Invisalign
– facial aesthetics
As a general restorative dentist, Meera is comfortable organising managing and executing complex treatment plans with a multidisciplinary team.
She places special emphasis on long term prevention of diseases and maintenance of good oral health.
Away from the clinic, Meera enjoys spending time with her daughter and her partner. She also enjoys training at the gym and socialising.
Our hygienists provide invaluable support to our dentists. Our hygienists are very much appreciated by our patients for their gentle and caring approach. They provide advice and guidance on oral hygiene methods to help keep gums healthy, prevent gum disease and promote fresh breath.
Our friendly support staff includes our dental nurses and receptionists without whom our team would not be complete. We are proud of the care and attention they show to our patients. Their impressive range of skills and abilities is a great credit to them and invaluable to our practice.
